ARCHITECT: STEPHAN BRAUNFELS (2002)

The German parliament buildings by Stephan Braunfels include offices, a library, and a repository and are located on both sides of the Spree River in Berlin.
The Marie ELisabeth Lüders Haus is situated on the eastern bank of the River Spree and creates a functional and formal unity with the Paul Löbe House on the western bank.
Both were designed by the architect Stephan Braunfels and were both awarded first prizes, one in 1994 and one in 1996.
The circled volume next to the river is used as the parliamentary library.
There is a pubic footbridge connecting the two parliament buildings on opposit sides of the river.
